Antique Jointer Plane (22 Inch)

Description

Usable antique jointer plane.  22 inches long.  Body is stamped “Schafer and Cobb – Cincinnati”.  Blade stamped “Dwight and French”.  Not sure if this is the original pairing of body and blade. Blade is 2 1/2 wide.  Blade has been sharpened.  Blade fits too tightly in body.  After acclimating to my shop, the body shrunk.  Body needs to be filed for the blade to fit properly – in my opinion.  Tool shows signs of wear, but I have had it working, and it performs very well.  Sole is square.
